Irving Project

These young professionals contacted me to decorate their living and dining room. They were fun and vibrant and wanted lots of colour, which made it was so much fun to work with them on their project!

They had some existing chairs with great lines in the living room, so we had them re-upholstered and brought in lots of other colour throughout; in the pillows, artwork and custom drapery. I incorporated lots of different patterns and a striped drapery fabric which provided lots of interest and incorporated all of the colours within the space.

On occasion this couple works from home so they requested a work space. I incorporated an antique desk and bookshelf that we had custom painted to work within the room.  This allows them to work but still be with other members of the home and participate in conversation.

In the dining room, the amazing drapery fabric provided inspiration for the rest of the space. I added upholstered chairs for dining comfort as well as a bench with a custom cushion made in a co-ordinating fabric. I found this antique china cabinet that was already painted in this glorious colour at a local shop. It was the perfect size and was clearly meant to be.

After we completed the above rooms, they wanted to complete a few more projects. In the eat in kitchen, we added a pop of colour in the table and this fun cow print. Lucite ghost chairs were added to make a small space feel larger and with young one’s they’re so easy to wipe off and keep clean.

In the family room, a neutral sofa was in place. Purple and red were added in and are certainly warm and inviting for a cozy hangout.
